When it comes to choosing whether a dessert option or an option to give a birthday surprise or let's say anything to bake. It's Cake !!!🥮
Here, I am talking about a Mouth melting Cake which is very easy to make and hurdle less and anyone can try & I bet once you & your family will have this they will ask for more.
So without wasting any more time let's start with our recipe and ingredients list.
Ingredients :
Before starting select any container for measurement for e.g. Cup, Bowl or any Glass. Here I am taking Cup.
- 1.5 cup Semolina (Rawa /Sooji).
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Curd (at room temperature).
- 1 Cup Milk (room temperature).
- 3/4 cup Sugar.
- 4 spoons White Flour (Maida)or Wheat flour(Atta).
- 1/2 Cup Oil.
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
- 1 teaspoon baking powder.
- 2 or 3 drops of vanilla essence (optional).
- Dry fruits or Tutti Frutti.
Recipe :
Take a big container for mixing all ingredients. Now first put Semolina (Rawa/Sooji) and then put 1/2 cup fresh curd in it & mix it.
After mixing, pour 1 Cup Milk along with 3/4 Cup Sugar & 4 spoons of White Flour(Maida, if Maida is not available can use Wheat Flour) in it and mix it for good 5 minutes and then leave it for 10-15 minutes. This will allow Semolina to soak everything meanwhile sugar will also melt and get mixed.
While this batter is getting prepared, Place cooker (remove the whistle & gasket/rubber wire) or nonstick pan on gas with low flame. Then place cooker stand, if available or use a steel bowl to place the Cooker or Nonstick pan should be this much big so that it can transfer the heat inside to our cake pan.
Now after 10 minutes move to our batter & Mix 1/2 Cup oil,1/2 teaspoon baking soda,1 teaspoon baking powder & few drops of vanilla essence if available and again mix it for 5 to 7 minutes.
We can add dry fruits or tutti frutti for garnishing.
1. Dry Fruits: For that chop the dry fruits (cashew, almonds & pistachio) and mix in batter.2. Tutti Frutti: 2 spoons can be mixed in the batter.
Now take the pan (can be either of steel/aluminium). I prefer the aluminium one because it distributes the heat equally.
After selecting a pan, grease it with oil or ghee and pour the prepared batter 3/4 of its size and toss the pan to remove air bubbles if any.
Finally, garnish the batter with chopped dry fruits or tutti frutti & place the cake pan inside cooker /non-stick kadhai for 45 -50 minutes in low flame. After 50 mins, check the cake with a toothpick by removing the lid. If it's not ready, keep the cake for 5-10 mins more.
Now if the cake is ready, allow it to cool & non-Stick pan / Cooker can be left overnight to cool properly.
Finally, Our Cake is ready to be served with love and can be stored in an airtight container for a day or 2.
