Dahi Aloo ki sabji (Recipe of Potato Curry with Curd)


Hello wonderful people, hope you all are safe & fine in this gloomy time.
Today I am back with another recipe of Dahi Aloo Sabji which is easy to make & will be a perfect dish for everyone in the family.
This recipe will be another option for those who are less with the option for food and bored with the same food.
So let's start with Ingredients and then Recipe.


Ingredients: For Dahi Aloo Sabji :

  • 5 boiled potatoes (medium size).
  • 1/2 cup fresh curd.
  • 1 finely chopped onion.
  • 1 chopped chilli.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds/jeera
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • 2 teaspoon chilli powder.
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder. 
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder (Jeera Powder).
  • 1 teaspoon gram masala powder.
  •  2 teaspoon salt (according to taste).
  •  Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.
  • Oil for frying, I am using mustard oil 
Recipe
  • Firstly, Peel the potatoes and cut it into 2 or 4 parts, mix a pinch of turmeric and chilli powder & keep aside. 
  • Now, take 1/2 cup fresh curd in a bowl and put 1tsp turmeric powder,1tsp chilli powder, 1tsp,1tsp coriander powder,1tsp cumin/jeera powder,1tsp garam masala powder & mix it well.
  • Take some oil & heat it. Now add potatoes into the oil and fry it for 2 -3 mins.
  • When the potatoes are done take it out in 1 plate. 
  • Now in the same pan, Put 1tsp cumin seeds/jeera. Then add chopped chilli & onion into it & wait till it gets brown. Turn of the gas. 
  • After, Mix the curd into it and switch on the gas and started mixing it till curd completely soaked with onion and spices & oil can be seen. (Picture for reference).

  • Now add 1 & half cup water into and 1tsp turmeric powder and 1tsp chilli powder and 2tsp salt (as per taste) & let it boil. 
  • After 1st boil, Add fried potatoes into it and cook for 5-7 minutes in simmer. 
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with roti /paratha. 😇
